ATTENTION ANGLERS: please observe Catch and Release
to help maintain the fish population
Our success with eradicating the lake vegetation that plagued us over the past few years has a major downside for anglers—there’s much less fish cover for smaller fish to hide while they grow. Also, the staggering increase in fishing during the pandemic ended up significantly decreasing the sport fish population in the lake. In addition to seeding the lake with new fingerlings, we’re asking anglers to catch and release for small and large range Bass, Crappie, and Bluegill to allow growth and spawning-age to survive. We do ask that you help eliminate some invasive species, notably Drum, and Blue and Flathead Catfish. If you catch these please either keep them or dispose of properly.
